    What is an adjustment?
An adjustment is a fast and small movement applied by hand to a specific joint of the body that the chiropractor has diagnosed as being one of the causes of pain and restriction in movement. Through providing an adjustment this can increase movement, decrease pain and optimize function of that joint. The popping noise you may here is from the joint being distracted creating negative pressure which creates a gas bubble to escape. Does every patient receive an adjustment? No. All patients are treated as individual cases (patient orientated care) and only receive treatment that they require for their specific condition. If the patient is comfortable and have a need to be adjusted are chiropractors are equipped to provide the appropriate adjustment.
